Телескоп-рефлектор Omni 127 XLT – зеркально линзовый телескоп системы Шмидта. Его компактные размеры делают его крайне удобным в обращении инструментом. С другой стороны, благодаря своей достаточно сложной оптической схеме он дает высочайшее качество изображения без каких-либо искажений, которые свойственны зеркальным и линзовым телескопам. Также благодаря этой схеме именно этот инструмент среди всех телескопов серии Omni XLT лучше всего подходит для занятий астрофотографией.
В Omni 127 XLT при больших увеличениях Луна будет видна настолько «близко», что она даже не будет целиком помещаться в поле зрения окуляра и вы фактически сможете «прогуляться» по ее поверхности! А планеты в этом телескоп будут не просто доступны для наблюдений, они видны с деталями: Большое Красное пятно и вихри в облачной атмосфере Юпитера, щель Кассини в кольце Сатурна, полярные шапки, моря и «каналы» на Марсе. Также в данный телескоп вы сможете наблюдать несметное количество двойных и переменных звезд, сотни рассеянных и шаровых звездных скоплений, туманностей и галактик. Причем многие туманности и галактики предстанут перед вами не как блеклые светящиеся пятна, а покажут свою структуру.
Все телескопы серии Omni установлены на экваториальную монтировку немецкого типа CG-4. Она оснащена прецизионными червячными передачами, и в ней нет ни одной пластиковой детали. Монтировка установлена на мощную треногу со стальными ногами диаметром 44 мм с площадкой для аксессуаров. Эта комбинация обеспечивает превосходную жесткость и виброгасящие свойства.
Наряду с устойчивой установкой, серия телескопов Omni XLT обладает высококачественной оптикой. Технология асферизации в сочетании с ручной обработкой оптических элементов позволяет получать на этих телескопах изображения, практически свободные от сферической аберрации. Для увеличения пропускания света во всех линзовых и зеркально-линзовых телескопах данной серии применено многослойное просветление StarBright XLT.
